Hello, I am Scott Johnson.

Prior to retiring in 2017, I served for over twenty-seven years as a law enforcement professional in Central Texas. During my career, I served mainly as a criminal investigator, specializing in major crimes, investigating homicides, sexual assaults, physical assaults, kidnapping and child abuse. I am especially proud to have served on a team of law enforcement professionals who solved one of the state’s oldest cold case homicides, a case which resulted in a successful prosecution, putting a subject believed by many to be a serial killer behind bars for life.

I held a Texas Master Peace Officer certification and have received numerous commendations and awards. I have made countless public appearances, speaking on all aspects of law enforcement and crime prevention. Additionally, I have instructed numerous Citizen Police Academies, focusing primarily on the use of polygraph.

In the spring of 2013, I attended polygraph school, graduating top of the class, and completed the rigorous intern/testing phase to become a fully licensed polygraph examiner in the fall of 2013. I am an active member of the Texas Law Enforcement Polygraph Investigators (TALEPI) and attend regular conferences and training events to ensure that I remain up to date regarding the latest and most proficient testing methods.

I take pride in working with examinees to provide the best examination possible. I take the time to fully address the matter up for testing, and ensure that the examinee has a full understanding of the purpose of the test, the subject matter of the test and all aspects of the testing process.
